School Estate
A real estate professional meeting with a couple outside a Texas home in the late afternoon
FOR SALES & RETAIL PROFESSIONALS

This isn't a leap into something unrecognizable. It's a new application of skills you already use.

You understand customers, follow-up, objections, and asking for a decision. School Estate helps you apply that here, with a real person to call while you get there.

A new application, not a new skill set.

Closing a retail or B2B sale isn't the same as representing a real estate client, but a lot of the underlying work is more similar than different.

WHAT YOU'RE BRINGING WITH YOU
Skills built in sales
  • Asking discovery questions that uncover real priorities
  • Explaining products, processes, and next steps clearly
  • Handling objections without pressuring the customer
  • Following up consistently until a decision gets made
  • Managing contacts, timelines, and referrals in a CRM
  • Operating with measurable performance targets
WHAT REAL ESTATE ADDS
Licensing law, contracts, and fiduciary duty

Real estate adds TREC licensing law, fiduciary obligations to your client, contracts, prospecting, and local-market expertise, plus longer transaction cycles than most sales roles. Income is commission-based and variable, and School Estate doesn't provide or guarantee leads, clients, or transactions.

Bottom line: you're not starting from zero. School Estate's 180-hour TREC-approved course is the first step, and a broker, not a bot, walks you through every part of it.

YOUR PATH TO LICENSED

How licensing works in Texas.

TREC sets the requirements. School Estate handles the course, the prep, and the support, built to work around a retail or sales schedule. Here's the full path, start to finish.

STEP 1
Complete 180 hours of TREC-approved courses

Texas requires six specific courses totaling 180 hours. Both School Estate packages include all six, online at your own pace, with daily live Zoom study groups and a broker mentor available 7 days a week, built to work around retail hours and shift schedules.

STEP 2
Submit your license application to TREC

Apply online at TREC.texas.gov and pay the state application fee. TREC reviews your eligibility, including background check requirements.

See TREC requirements
STEP 3
Pass the state exam at Pearson VUE

The Texas real estate exam has two sections: National and State. School Estate's exam prep includes 2,000+ practice questions and a live weekend Exam Cram covering the entire exam.

STEP 4
Activate your license with a sponsoring broker

Your license is inactive until a licensed Texas broker sponsors it. School Estate connects every graduate who requests help with a sponsoring broker, this is placement assistance, not a guarantee of a specific brokerage, clients, or income.

Enroll in the 180-Hour Course

Most students complete the 180 hours in about 7 weeks and are licensed and placed in about 10 weeks.

Both packages include all 6 TREC-approved courses, full exam prep, daily live Zoom support, your mentor instructor, and a broker connection when you graduate. School Estate doesn't promise a specific job, clients, or income, that part is on you and your broker.

5.0 rating on Google

After years in retail sales, I loved working with people and closing deals, but I was exhausted by rigid store hours, night shifts, and capped commissions. I knew real estate was the right pivot, but fitting licensing coursework into a retail schedule felt impossible—until I found School Estate.

The online courses were completely flexible, but what truly blew me away was the one-on-one instructor support. My instructor broke down complex Texas contract law and math into practical terms that immediately clicked. Having a real expert answer my questions gave me the confidence to pass the state exam on my first try. In my first full year as an agent, I doubled what I was earning in retail, and for the first time, I own my schedule.

Brandon Vance, Former Retail Sales ManagerVERIFIED GRADUATE

"I spent years in high-volume sales, so I had the people skills—I just needed to master Texas real estate law and pass the exam. School Estate made that process seamless. The online platform was great, but the direct, one-on-one access to my instructor was the real game-changer. They guided me through every tricky section and prepped me for real-world success. Choosing School Estate was the single best career decision I've ever made!"
