Four Texas SAE packages, two sizes, two elective options.
Every package covers Real Estate Brokerage and Real Estate Investment. Pick Sales and Marketing or Property Management as your third elective (highlighted below), then choose 90 hours if you're taking Legal Updates separately, or 98 hours to cover the whole renewal, Legal Updates included, in one enrollment.
Every package includes only SAE courses that earn you credit. None repeat the courses you took for your license, so you can't accidentally enroll in hours TREC won't count.
What the Texas Real Estate Commission requires for your first renewal.
Every Texas real estate sales agent completes Sales Agent Apprentice Education once, before the first license renewal (TREC calls it your first-time renewal). After that, renewals switch to 18 hours of continuing education courses every two years. That's the Texas CE requirement for each active renewal after your first.

- SAE can't be deferred. If the hours aren't done in time for your first renewal, your license expires, and it won't renew until the required education is complete.
- No repeat credit. TREC won't grant credit for a course substantially similar to one you received credit for within the past two years.
- Delegated supervisors need one more course. If your broker has made you a delegated supervisor, you also complete the six-hour Broker Responsibility course, a TREC-approved CE course.

If your TREC record says you're a course short, take exactly what's missing, nothing more. Each one counts toward your Texas SAE requirement and comes with the same live daily support.
TREC timing and exam rules to know before you start.
The 3-day minimum, per course
You can work on as many 30-hour courses at once as you like, but each final exam needs its own 3 days. Finish all three courses' content on day one, and your first final can come on day 3, your second on day 6, and your third on day 9. Build that into your plan, especially if your renewal date is close.
Final exams: online, open book, not proctored
Each 30-hour qualifying education course ends with an online, open-book final exam. You need 70% to pass, you get 2 attempts, and there's no proctoring or testing center. The 4-hour Legal Update I and II courses also end with a final exam, but there's no minimum passing score. When you finish, we report your completions to TREC for you, so there's nothing to upload in the REALM portal yourself.
